For over two decades, we've been friends, and for the past 14 years, we've been entrepreneurs together. Since 2019, we've directed our passion towards Sperling in Augarten.
Our common bond is our love for the profession, with the satisfaction of our guests taking top priority. In Sperling, we've created a place where Sunday roasts can be celebrated with family, breakfast attracts friends, and where a coffee or a vermouth tonic, along with warm Buchteln, is always welcome after a stroll.

Our sparrow and why it is called that
Together with the creative team of Derenko, we have brought "Sperling" to life - a place where warmth and creativity merge.
Our interior design and brand identity revolve around the fascinating story of this bird family, which has found a home here since 1775 thanks to Joseph II. Under the motto "happiness is a little bird," our new venue with 100 seats offers an inviting atmosphere, colorful ambiance, and culinary highlights amidst one of Vienna's most charming gardens.
Two spacious guest gardens with around 170 seats invite you to linger under open sunshades with a view of the historic park. Here, Sunday roasts are enjoyed with family, friends are tempted with communal breakfasts, and relaxation follows a stroll with a cup of coffee or a refreshing vermouth tonic accompanied by warm Buchteln.
Our address in the 2nd district already has the reputation of a hidden gem - not least because of the 40 free parking spaces right outside our door. We look forward to welcoming you to our inviting oasis!
